Question by Jorie: HELP! How do you make a "princess prom dress" edgey and punk????
My parents only want me to have a "Princess Prom Dress"and i absolutly dont want to have fun. But they keep refusing. Im more into the uhhhh"punk" style. I just dont like to label myself. I sorta have my heart set on a 50's rockabilly dress but my parents keep telling me no. They insist that the only dresses Im gonna be happy with are the "princess-y" ones. And I understand that its just prom...and that its not like my college choice or anything...I just wanted to make it MY night with the dress I wanted.

So here is the promblem...If my parents end up forcing me into buying the "princess-y" one how can I make it more "punk" and edgey?

wait, so are you buying it with your own money?

if so, then honestly, fuck what your parents say. its your damn prom, they are not the ones going.

if its your parents money, then at least go for a black one, wear converse underneath, and wear all the punk rock looking jewelery you can find.

What I look for in a dress:
Long
Pretty
Sparkly
Puffy bottom
Fitted top with sparkles (or diamonds, sequins) whatever?
Nothing that's slender ( ughh)
Bright Colors |But No Red or Orange|
My favorite Colors: Royal Blue, Purple, Hot Pink, yellow, Lime Green, Turquoise.
