Chapter Two: The Dance

Akemi was very nervous for the date, so she called her friend Aoi to help her pick out the dress. Aoi was an expert on dates, because she goes on dates all the time with guys.

Aoi answers the phone.

Aoi: "Akemi? What is it?"

Akemi: "Naruto asked me out to the dance, and I need your help to pick out the dress! Could you come to the mall and help me?!"

Aoi: "Of course!! I'll be there in a jiff, bye!"

Aoi hangs up the phone.

Akemi's thoughts : Man, it's so nice to have trustworthy friends...

Akemi: "What?! What am I here thinking about?! I gotta get going!"

Akemi: "Bye,mom I'm going to go shopping with Aoi for the prom, I have my wallet and I'll pay for it!"
Akemi says as she rushes out the door.

Akemi's mom: "Wait! Your car keys are on the kitchen table!"

Akemi hears her mom and grabs her car keys quickly.

Akemi: "Thanks mom!"

Akemi's mom: "Have a good time, sweetie be careful!"

Akemi: "I will! Bye!" Akemi says as she rushes out the door.

Akemi arrives just in time to see Aoi waiting in the front of the mall.

Aoi: "Perfect timing, now let's roll and shop for you're prom dress!" Aoi says as she grabs Akemi's hand to the mall speedily.

Akemi: "Wow! So much to see!"

Aoi: "I know, so what kind of dress do you want to get?"

Akemi: "Maybe, a pretty blue dress, with black lacings..."

Aoi: "That will suit you perfectly! Now let's look!"

Akemi: "Ooh! Let's go to that store over there!" Akemi says as she points to the mini store.

Aoi: "Let's go in!" Aoi shouts as she grabs Akemi's hand as they rush in.

Akemi: "So many choices to look from!" Akemi says quietly as she looks around.

Aoi: "How about this dress?" Aoi says as she grabs a dress from the hanger.

Akemi: "No, it's kind of shortish.."

Aoi: "Then how about this?" Aoi says as she grabs another one.

Akemi, not paying attention to Aoi, looks at another dress in amazement, changing her emotion.

Akemi: "Look at that dress!!" Akemi says as she points to her favorite dress.

Aoi: "That's pretty,cute!"

Akemi: "I know! I want it! It's perfect!"

Aoi: "Better not bring your hopes up thinking this is a perfect day... look who's here...."

Akemi's expression changes to a horrified look.
